Special Notice

Per Florida Statute Section 828.30, "all dogs and cats 4 months and older must be vaccinated by a licensed veterinarian against Rabies." Due to this, at Paws Plus Veterinary all patients 4 months and older must have a Rabies vaccine at the time of their visit or provide proof they are up to date. Exceptions are only made if the doctor feels the animal is too sick to receive the vaccine during the visit.

Thank God for this place and the work cause they do care for your fur buddies. Love this place and very grateful with them cause they helped me, help my baby; my American Bully Bambina. She was diagnosed with Open Pyometra at another emergency veterinary clinic but we couldn't afford the surgery, so she was sent home with meds and we were recommended to get/call around for another vet to do the surgery for her to get spayed or she could die. For 2 wks I called all over Polk County, until I was informed about Paw Plus veterinary clinic in Lakeland that recently opened up. I called and talked to Emily, she was so caring and helpful; they pointed me toward the right place and even helped me get my baby ready with vaccine for rabies and blood work for surgery the next day. They couldn't do the surgery there then cause the facility wasn't finished but they did help me get my baby operated somewhere else at low cost. Thanks to God for Paw Plus Veterinary Clinic for Emily, Chelsey, Hannah and their vet.

They take half the cats ear off and call it a nip. I was eager to save $60 and this cat will forever be missing it's ear. I'm disgusted with myself and them for doing it.

This is a wonderful place to finally have options for my fur babies care and health/vet needs! Their prices are within my budget and the staff & owners are extremely knowledgeable, compassionate & friendly. Excellent customer service and purrfect paws on care for my four legged children! Great prices. Great staff. Our malinois puppy was well loved.My only complaint is - not allowing owners to go back with their dog. As a dog trainer it’s important that I’m able to be present for training purposes to insure I’m doing everything possible from a behavioral standpoint to insure positive only experiences. I hope you guys will consider implementing this - at least for accredited & insured dog training professionals if nothing else😄

We took our fur baby, Tamale, to Paws Plus on recommendation from Das Hund Haus. It was the best thing we could do! They were so very nice and sweet and they are inexpensive. We had to get his rabies shot. It was only $25 for the 3 year! We will definitely keep going here. I HIGHLY recommend them! We'll see y'all next month!😊

Love this place and all the do for my babies!! Everyone there was attentive and loved on all of my babies. Explained everything that I needed to know in full detail! Emily, Dr. V, Deb, Hannah, and Chelsey are the best of the best. I wouldn't take my babies anywhere else! Paws Plus will be my go to for everything. Especially when surgery opens up! 🩷

Decided to try out Paws Plus as we heard about them from the Das hund haus open house event in June! So glad we stopped by! We are very happy with our current vet, but wanted to support the local non profit instead as everyone in their organization seemed so friendly!I sent them a FB message and they quickly responded answering all my questions, and trust me I ended up having more after my original ones were answered. They were just as kind and hospitable in the first message as the last! I was shocked to find out I was speaking with Emily their Executive Director!When it came time to scheduling Daisy’s appointment it was easy online and I loved that! We selected evening we ended and it was seamless and a pleasant experience and they even sent us a reminder a few days prior!The day of the appointment everyone was so friendly, and took the time to answer all of our questions! Their tech Hannah was amazing and when my wife called back to ask a question about medication she went the extra mile to find out the answer! They even were running a special for a free heart worm test with a 6 month flea/tic/heart worm medication purchase. I had forgotten to mention the special and my wife called and they were so kind to give us a credit for a future visit!In the visit they did have me stay in the waiting room which was a little nerve wracking, but they explained pets usually do better with out their owner there so they don’t feel the need to protect them. Boy were they right! Daisy came wagging her little tail towards me when she was done. Dr Volpicelli was wonderful and explained everything to me and we were on our way!You can definitely tell everyone is passionate about what they do and care about the animals here and we will be switching full time to their care. Crossing fingers they eventually accept Pet Assure or some kind of pet insurance in case more expansive/expensive services are needed… then again their vaccines and heart worm/fecal tests were on par with our other vet costs (with insurance). So hoping everything else is!Only negative would be finding it, but I believe they are getting some additional signage! My wife forgot to tell me to look for the purple tent! Whoops!

Not only affordable with same day appointments, but staff was extremely nice and helpful on what may be going on with one of my kittens. Even had results the following day. Definitely recommend giving them a chance with caring for your furr babies.
